Apps developed with a global perspective can scale to become big. Of course the African market is huge with enormous potential, but in as much as as some problems are perculiar to Africa, consumers outside Africa can benefit from it if done well.Retailmenot.com of Australia is a good example. They built from Australia and served a global market. Now they have been bouth by an American company for $90M.
