Living in Digital Times and NetShelter Technology, Inc. has announced the 10 Mobile Apps Showdown finalists. The lucky 10 finalists will take part in a live demo competition in front of a live and online audience during 2011 International CES on Saturday, January 8 at 12:30 p.m. in Room N257-258 of the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC), North Hall.
According to the press release, the winner will be selected based on audience applause-o-meter and an online vote.
The 10 Mobile Apps Showdown finalists to take part in the live demo competition include:

IDEAL Item ID – kids who are blind need assistance identifying the contents of canned/boxed goods, colors of clothing, etc; The user can affix the barcode to anything.

ooVoo Multiparty Mobile Video Chat – offers quality video chat service for both video and voice calling for up to six people.
Pageonce Personal Finance – lets consumers manage and simplify their daily financial life.
Quickoffice Connect Mobile Suite – is the first full-featured productivity suite for Android devices that enables Microsoft Office viewing and editing and integrated access to multiple remote storage providers.
SwiftKey – makes typing on an Android smartphone fast and personal by using artificial intelligence techniques to interpret what you type and offering advanced corrections and predictions based on your personal writing.
Twonky Mobile – lets you stream personal and online media from your Android phone to any Web-connected gadget or device with the push of a button.
WebMD Mobile – allows consumers access to WebMD tools whenever and wherever they want.
iHealth Lab – launching January 5, an iOS app and hardware docking station which shares vitals information.
