At first I was pretty excited about the Xfinity app, working for DISH Network I know that they have something very similar. Both can stream live and recorded content to the iPad, both have the ability to manage recordings as well as schedule them, and both allow the iPad to be used as a very fancy remote. The difference is that the Xfinity app does not allow you to steam live programming outside of your home network on the iPad, and with DISH this works with Android tablets and smart phones as well as the iPhone.
