An entrepreneur is a person who has possession of a new enterprise, venture or idea and is accountable for the inherent risks and the outcome of a product.
In as much as entrepreneurs create jobs, from time to time some entrepreneurs apply to jobs with the aim of gaining experience over time. Other entrepreneurs want to work for others to apply their creativity, passion and innovative instincts to help the business grow.
Entrepreneurs get back to the workforce not just because they failed as many believe. It may be for the benefits or that working for yourself takes up all your time and you want to have a life as well as a job. Others passionately want to apply their knowledge to help other businesses when they are not ready to start their own. Others prefer to be intrapreneurs(employee initiatives in organizations to undertake something new, without being asked to do so).
The reality is that the entrepreneur-hire is going to leave the job sooner or later to start his or her own. He or she may even start the business before resigning officially. The probability that an entrepreneur will run his or her won business alongside his regular job is very high. He or she maybe working full time for you but the concentration is not fully for your business.
I would hire highly motivated and driven individuals. I would hire them because they have vision and determination and are driven to achieve what they set out to do.
So the question is: Would you hire an entrepreneur? Share your thoughts with us.
