The high-resolution photos take full advantage of iPhone’s Retina display as you scroll though your friends’ activity in Flow, discover the amazing photos in Popular, and browse inspiring photographers’ profiles.

500px now has an improved look and feel for the iPad, an Avatar upload for profiles: customize your visual presence on 500px straight from your device,  iPhone 5 and iOS 6 compatibility,

The site hosts over 6 million photos. 500px has an algorithm that makes recently uploaded photos of a high standard to be displayed at the forefront of the site. Views, votes, favourites and dislikes all contribute to a photo’s rating or ‘Pulse’.

500px released it’s iPad app less than a year ago, generating 100,000 downloads in its first week, followed by an Android app in April 2012.
