Yahoo has been struggling for sometime now. Most people still have their Yahoo accounts but they hardly use them. Guess what, they now have Gmail accounts and Hotmail is still hot. Yahoo Mail is still the most popular U.S. webmail service, according to comScore, but the company wants to keep up with competition from number two and three, Gmail and Hotmail/Outlook.
Yahoo mail used to be the largest email service in the world but that has changed in recent years. Well, Marissa Mayer, the new CEO of Yahoo wants to change that.
Starting today, Marissa promises the new Yahoo! Mail will be fast, easy and available anywhere you go. These improvements will be available on all major platforms: Web, Windows 8, iPhone/iPod touch and Android.
In a blog post, Marissa said:
“We’ve redesigned the new version of Yahoo! Mail with speed in mind — getting through your emails is faster than ever before. We’ve also made your inbox more intuitive and easier to navigate, allowing you to focus on what matters most: your messages. And, because mobile is everything these days, Yahoo! Mail now has a consistent look and feel across devices.”
