Yahoo! has unveiled brand new iOS App. The beautifully designed iPhone app now serves Summly summaries of news. Yahoo! acquired Summly for around $30 million just one month ago and has successfully integrated the news summary app into the brand new Yahoo mobile app for the iPhone.
Yahoo purchased Summly, an iPhone app that summarizes lengthy articles into brief snippets, from Nick D’Aloisio, a 17-year-old British entrepreneur who founded Summly two years ago.
The image heavy newsfeed app now promises better search experience with great video and image search. Within each article, you can easily select more of the topics you’d like to see, and less of those you don’t. When you’re signed into Yahoo!, the choices you make are saved across screens.
The Yahoo! app for iPhone and iPod Touch is currently available to Yahoo users in the U.S.
Yahoo launched completely redesigned Yahoo! Weather and Yahoo! Mail for iPad last week. CEO Marissa Mayer wants to focus on rebranding Yahoo with beautiful mobile products.
