Women 2.0 is a social venture for future founders of technology startups. Women 2.0 run four programs. Founder Labs is a 5-week pre-incubator focused on the first phase of launching a startup – finding a team and validating the business idea. Founder Friday is a Women 2.0 networking event organized in partnership with liked-minded organizations like Startup Weekend. PITCH is an annual startup competition for startups in beta to gain exposure to investors and valuable feedback for next steps. And In Conversation Videos are interviews with female founders and technology leaders exploring lessons learned in the startup process, including transitions, risk, and networking.
The 2010 Women 2.0 Startup Competition witnessed 130 qualified applicants. Applicantions were received from New Zealand, Turkey, Korea, Germany, Canada, Russia, Israel, Brazil, the U.K. and the U.S. Three industry awards for web, mobile, and cleantech pitches were presented at the event.
