Taha Jiwaji of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania made presentation about Bongo Live at this year’s startup strategy roundtable. Bongo Live is an advertising and mobile services company that has subscribers and vendors as customers. Subscribers opt-in to receive advertising specials based on their interests, like coupons, special offers, etc.

How it Works

Subscriber

Subscribers register on the Bongo Live website and build their profile. Bongo Live! then sends you deals of your interest directly on your phone, absolutely FREE!.

Advertiser

Bongo Live’s marketing consultants work hand in hand with our clients to plan and develop campaigns that match the marketing objectives of clients. This includes crafting the text for each sms broadcast. Once the campaigns are refined, it is executed along with any sms broadcasts planned. Results are then collected, analyzed and any improvements used for subsequent campaigns.

I dont get it? Why would subscribers register to Bongo? There has to be a 'sticky' which will prompt customers to subscriber and keep them subscribers. Special offers and discounts is not enough.

Try giving back, free airtime, smses etc
