M-Dot Network, has won the fourth Amazon Web Service (AWS) Start-Up Challenge in an event at Palo Alto, California. AWS is an Amazon.com company that offers scalable technology infrastructure. AWS help enterprises in acquiring computing capabilities, storage and other on-demand services in the cloud as well. Over 1,500 applications from 22 countries across North America, Asia Pacific and Europe participated in the competition and the winner, M-Dot Network has been awarded a prize money of $50,000 in cash and $50,000 in AWS service credits. All 15 semi-finalist participants in the competition have been awarded with an incentive worth $2,500 in AWS service credits.
M-Dot Network provides of a high-speed transaction network that offers real-time connectivity between Internet and mobile based technologies to in-store retail point of sale systems for enabling immediate redemption of digital coupons and incentives. The M•Dot Network platform clears digital coupons in real time, lessening the burden of coupon validation at check-out, speeding up check-out and reducing redemption error rates.
