- Symbian, Android, and iPhone developers: Nokia Qt SDK to develop native apps for Symbian and MeeGo devices
- Web developers: Nokia Web Runtime Plug-Ins, including Adobe Flash Lite 4.0
You can develop games for the Nokia N8 with Qt or the Symbian^3 platform SDK, or Flash:
- For casual and 2D games: Nokia Qt SDK 1.0
- For high performance, hardware accelerated and 3D games: OpenGL ES using the Symbian Platform SDK 0.9
- For Flash games – Flash Lite 4.0
