Social gaming giant Zynga will extend its popular multiplayer word game Words With Friends to Google’s Android mobile operating system later this month
A free version of the title will be available for download via Android Market, followed later this year by an ad-free premium edition.
The game will offer consumers the ability to play up to 20 games simultaneously alongside in-game chat and push notifications.
Zynga acquired mobile gaming developer Newtoy–the startup behind Words With Friends and other titles in the Games With Friends multiplayer franchise–in December 2010.
