# John Waibochi is a Kenyan born technology entrepreneur who has been in the Tech industry for 11 years.
# John Waibochi is the CEO at Virtual City, VirtualSat and Virtual Mobile.
# Virtual City develops, customizes and implements innovative mobility solutions.It promotes use of technology not just as a tool of communication but also in the running of normal day to day activities and business processes within the organization.
# John studied Electrical Engineering at Michigan State University. His first job was selling HF and VHF radios. He worked in the telcom industry and the data industry.
# In 2007 they VirtualCity $50,000 at the Legatum awards, they were second. In 2009 they won 1.5 million dollars in the ATF competition.
# In 2010,Virtual City won the Nokia Innovation Challenge Award – beating companies from 54 different countries to emerge the best – effectively banking $1M.
# Nokia called on innovators from around the world to create a mobile product or service to improve the lives of people in developing nations and compete for the chance to win venture capital investment of $1 million.
# Virtual City developed a solution dubbed Mobile Distributor – aimed at streamlining the supply chain for distributors and retailers of Fast Moving Consumer Goods in emerging markets.
# “We have developed an application that enables distributors and retailers to sell in the market using the Nokia mobile phones for their sales, deliveries and taking orders and we have gone further to help them be able to collect their cash,” said Mr. Waibochi.
