- Aquantia, a developer of 10GBASE-T PHY semiconductors, raised $21M in a Series E funding round. The funding came from LSI Corporation, New Enterprise Associates, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Greylock Partners, Pinnacle Ventures and Venture Tech Alliance.
- Sequoia Capital has backed a Chicago provider of analytics and data analysis services, Mu Sigma, to the tune of $25M. Mug Sigma said the Series C funding round came from Sequoia Capital.
- Fremont-based Redwood Systems, a developer of LED lighting controls for the building automation market, raised $3.5M in an additional Series B funding, from Mitsui & Co.
- Arstasis, a developer of surgical tools for femoral artery access, secured $25.5M in a Series E funding round. Names of the investors in the firm were not disclosed.
- Silver Tail Systems, a developer of predictive analytics software for websites, scored $20M in a Series B funding round. The round was led by Andreessen Horowitz.
- Liquid Robotics, a developer of a underwater robotic vehicle, secured $22M in a Series D financing round. The round was led by VantagePoint Capital Partners.
- PolyRemedy, a developer of chronic wound care treatment systems, raised $20M in a Series C funding round. The round was led by Delphi Ventures.
- Prosper.com, the online, micro-lending startup headed by Chris Larsen, scored $17M in new funding. The new funding came from Draper Fisher Jurvetson and Crosslink Capital.
- Lattice Engines, which develops B2B sales intelligence software, said Tuesday that it raised a new round of funding. Size of the new funding was not disclosed. The round was led by Sequoia Capital.
- San Jose-based Infineta Systems, a developer of WAN optimization products, raised $15M in a Series B funding round. The round was led by Rembrandt Venture Partners.
- Authentic8, a new startup developing secure Internet browser technology, has scored a round of funding, according to investor the Foundry Group. Size and details of the funding were not disclosed.
- YapStone, a provider of electronic payment services for the property management industry, raised $50M from Accel Partners.
- Aryaka, a developer of Wan optimization and application acceleration technology, raised $15M in a Series B funding round. The round was led by Nexus Venture Partners.
- ServiceMax, a developer of cloud-based, mobile field service applications, scored $14M in a Series C funding. The round was led by Mayfield Fund.
- NextDigest, a publisher of targeted technology newsletters, raised $190,000 in angel funding, plus $200,000 from the Kauffman Foundation.
- Coupons.com, which provides digital coupon technology, secured $200M from institutional investors.
- Room 77, the hotel search engine which launched in February, raised $10.5M in a Series B round. The round was led by General Catalyst Partners.
- El Dorado Ventures and Maynard Webb are behind the funding of a Kansas-based risk and compliance software firm, LockPath, which raised $2M in a Series A round.
- Intacct, which develops cloud-based, financial management and accounting software for companies,scored another $12.3M in funding. The round was led by Split Rock Partners.
- VirtuOz, which develops intelligence “virtual agents” for online customer service, secured $7M in a new funding round. The round came from existing investors, which included Mohr Davidow, Inventures Group and Galileo Partners.
