- diControl Networks, a developer of broadband, energy and security management products, scored $50M in a Series D funding round. The funding included Cisco, Comcast Ventures, Intel Capital, Charles River Ventures, the Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers iFund, Rogers Communications and Tyco International.
- ScaleXtreme, a developer of systems management software for managing cloud deployment on Amazon EC2, VMware virtual machines, and other servers, raised $11M in a Series B funding. The funding was led by Ignition Partners
- DisplayLink, a developer of hardware and software for connecting computers to monitors, secured $8M in a new financing round. Source of the new funding was not disclosed.
- Billing Revolution, a developer of mobile payments technology, gained an investment from Citigroup, via its Citi Ventures arm. Size of the investment was not disclosed.
- Lytro, which is developing digital cameras technology which can render photos in any focal plane, launched with $50M in backing from Andreessen Horowitz.
- El Dorado Ventures is the lead investor in a new round for a developer of customer and employee feedback software, Allegiance. According to Allegiance, scored $12M in a new funding round which also included Rembrandt Venture Partners and Allegis Capital.
- StorSimple, a provider of cloud storage products for Windows and VMware, secured $10.5M in a Series C funding round. The round was led by Ignition Partners
- Touchstone Semiconductor, a developer of analog integrated circuits, raised $12M in a Series A funding. The funding came from Opus Capital and Khosla Ventures.
