11 Companies Raised Over $240 Million In Funding This Week

  1. ViVOtech, the developer of near field communication (NFC) payment card and related technology,  raised $24M in a Series C funding round extension. The firm said the round came from new investors Singapore EDBI, SingTel Innov8, and Motorola Solutions Venture Capital.
  2. Redwood Bioscience, a firm focused on antibody-drug conjugates and peptide therapeutics,secured new funding from Takeda Venturse.
  3. FlashSoft, a developer of software for managing enterprise, flash storage,  raised $3M in a Series A funding. The round was led by ThomVest Ventures.
  4. EggCartel. the developer of a mobile app, EggDrop, which helps users find used furniture, sports, equipment, electronics, and other products from nearby buyers, scored $1M in a seed funding round. The round came from SV Angel and BlueRun Ventures.
  5. Ifeelgoods.com, which operates a digital incentives program which pays people Facebook credits and virtual goods for interacting with brands,  raised $6.5M in a Series A funding round.
  6. Basho, a developer of distributed database software, scored $7.5M in a Series D financing, and appointed a new CEO.
  7. Square, the developer of a mobile credit card reader and application, raised $100M in a Series C financing. The firm said the funding was led by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, and also included Tiger Global Management.
  8. SiliconBlue Technologies, which provides IP, design services, and semiconductors for the mobile device market,  raised $18M in a Series D funding round. The round was led by Atlantic Bridge.
  9. RockMelt, a developer of a social, web browsing application,  secured $30M in a Series B funding round. The round was led by Accel Partners, and also included Khosla Ventures and Andreessen Horowitz.
  10. Therapeutics, a biopharmaceuticals firm targeting the cardiovascular and renal disease area, raised $36M in a Series B financing round. The firm said the funding was led by Novartis Venture Funds.
  11. AcelRX Pharmaceuticals  received $20M in a loan financing agreement, from Hercules Technology Growth Capital.
