9 Startups Have Raised Over $170 Million In The Past 3 Days

  1. AirBnB, which helps broker person-to-person room, apartment, and house rentals,  raised $112M in a Series B funding round. The investors included DST Global, Andreessen Horowitz, and DST Global.
  2. Motif Investing, a developer of theme-based, online investment platform, raised $20M in a series B. The funding came from Ignition Partners, Norwest Venture Partners, and Foundation Capital.
  3. Quid, a developer of software for data visualization and analysis,  raised $10M in a Series C funding round.
  4. Taulia secured $8.5M in a Series B funding round. The round was led by new investor DAG Ventures, along with prior investors Matrix Partners and Trinity Ventures.
  5. Wordnik, an online community focused on words, scored $8M in a Series C funding round. The round was led by Lucas Venture Group, and also included Mohr Davidow Ventures, Floodgate, Baseline Ventures, Roger McNamee, and other angels.
  6. WhiteHat Security, a developer of web site security software,  roped in an additional $8M in capital, the firm said today. The round came from Investor Growth Capital (IGC).
  7. Nodeable, a developer of a platform for managing cloud services, scored $2M in a Series A funding round. The round was led by True Ventures.
  8. Phizzle, a developer of mobile marketing technology, said this morning that it has raised $3M in a Series A funding round. The round was led by Alsop Louie Partners.
  9. Azumio, which develops biofeedback applications for smartphones,  raised $2.5M in a Series A funding. The funding came from the Founders Fund, Accel Partners, and Felicis Ventures.
