- Lending Club, the person-to-person microlending marketplace operator, raised a $25M investment round. The round was led by Union Square Ventures.
- Leyden Energy, a manufacturer of lithium ion batteries, raised $20M in a Series B financing round. The round was led by New Enterprise Associates
- BridgeLux, a developer of LED lighting arrays and solid state lighting sources, secured $60M in funding, according to one of the firm’s investors.
