- Cisco acquired the assets of AXIOSS Software, a developer of software for network services ordering and fulfillment. Cisco said it would pay $31M in cash for AXIOSS Software, which was formerly the UK subsidiary of Comptel Corporation.
- Skype acquired Groupme, a provider of mobile group messaging services. Financial terms of the deal were not announced.
- San Mateo-based 3D CAD software firm Autodesk acquired avatar creation software firm Evolver, according to details on the acquisition sent to Evolver customers by Autodesk. Financial details of the buy were not disclosed.
- Multifamily Technology Solutions, the parent firm of online housing rental marketplace MyNewPlace, was acquired by RealPage. The deal was worth $74.4M, net of cash expected to be acquired.
- Vector Capital agreed to acquire two units from Motorola Solutions. The two said that Vector Capital will acquire Motorola Solutions’ Point-to-Point (PTP or Orthogon) and Point-to-Multipoint (PMP or Canopy) Wireless Broadband Networks businesses. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.
- Yard acquired fellow San Francisco software maker Orchestra. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Engine Yard is a maker of platform-as-a-service (PaaS) tools for Ruby on Rails; Orchestra is a provider of PHP platforms.
