Snapjoy, a Y Combinator-funded startup that launched in August is offering to keep your photos backed up and organized automatically. The app imports media from anywhere and organizes them into meaningful memories of who, what, where, & when.
How it works
Snapjoy watches how many people manage their photos, and devised algorithms to do most, if not all, of that hard work for you. The app presents your photo library in a cohesive timeline. As more information from your photos are gathered, they are organized into meaningful ways, so you’re never more than a few clicks away from the pictures you want to see.
Each photo you upload has meta data attached to it. The photo provides Snapjoy with key information, such as the time and date it was taken. Rather than make you create sets of photos, Snapjoy automatically places these photos into a timeline, based on the time and date attached to the photo. It’s smart, and just works.
Snapjoy also stores your photos, so you won’t need to worry about backing them up.
