Google Quietly Unveils GOMO (Mobilize Websites on Demand)

Fusible reported last month that Google had registered the domains howtogomo.com, howtogomo.net and howtogomo.org.   Howtogomo.com has been launched and the service will allow visitors to get mobile-friendly versions of websites.

Currently, Google offers a limited service called Google Mobile Optimizer for crudely converting Web pages to stripped-down, temporary mobile views. It also offers a free mobile website builder for building mobile sites from scratch using a range of templates.

GOMO is currently password protected.
