Instagram Launches Web Profiles: Your Instagram Photos on the Web

Instagram has unveiled web profiles for users to be able to access profile pages on the Web. Your profile on the web will features a selection of your recently shared photographs just above your profile photo and bio, giving others a snapshot of the photos you share on Instagram. you can also follow users, comment & like photos and edit your profile easily and directly from the web. It’s a beautiful new way to share your Instagram photos!

The new Web profiles is very much like your Facebook timeline. That is not surprising, given that Instagram was acquired by Facebook earlier this year. But instead of one static banner image like Facebook’s Timeline, Instagram Web profiles are in continuous flux, a hodge-podge of all the recent photos you’ve taken using the application.

To see your new web profile, or to explore a friend’s profile, simply navigate to instagram.com/[username]. For example, in order to view mycookingdiary’s profile, @mycookingdiary, you’d navigate to instagram.com/mycookingdiary on the web. If you don’t see your profile yet, you can check it again in the next few days. Instagram is rolling out profiles to everyone on Instagram over the course of this week. All photos you’ve shared to Instagram are included in your web profile.

Amazing work. As Michael in the comment above says this is really art that needs to be framed and exhibeted in spacious gallery. Hope to see this work in Germany once.
