The Fear Factor

Fear is only as deep as the mind allows.
Japanese Proverb

Fear is an emotion induced by a perceived threat which causes entities to quickly pull away from it and usually hide. It is a basic survival mechanism occurring in response to a specific stimulus, such as pain or the threat of danger-Wikipedia

how to conquer Fear

Some common fears are of social rejection, failure, public speaking, networking and the future. You could count many reasons why you should fear. But being afraid does not change your situation. It rather forces you to stay where you are. Confront your fear today!!

Most people sense danger most of the time, and tend to concentrate on thinking about what might go wrong and what the consequences could be when things go wrong. Well, what if they don’t go wrong, what if things are not as bad as you think. What if you just try, what if you give it a shot. What is the worse that can happen when you try?

Fear always relates to future events and people who fear about the future do not even try to change it because something bad may happen. Your fear can choose your destiny because you choose to do nothing, hence you remain in a situation that could have been changed. Do not let your fear choose your destiny.

Fear of failure is a cheat of destiny. William Shakespeare said the other day “Our doubts are traitors, and make us lose the good we oft might win, by fearing to attempt. Attempt is a step further from a great destiny. Do not fear to fail, do not fail to try, do not fail to do. Too many of of us are not living our dreams because we are living our fears. And we have been crippled by it.

A mind focused on doubt and fear will not go far on the journey to success. Your mind can only process what you allow into it. Do not give fear the opportunity to feed on your brains. Feed your faith and your fears will starve to death. You cannot finish what you have not started.

Failing is not the end of your world. It’s just one way of finding out what does not work. You have new opportunities to try again, this time better informed. Decide that you want something more than you are afraid of it, and you will give it the shot it deserves.

Conquer your fear today, for fear is an ever present thought you cannot wish away.

“Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.”
Winston Churchill
