LinkedIn has unveiled LinkedIn Contacts, a LinkedIn.com feature and personal assistant iPhone app that helps you stay in touch with your most important relationships.

LinkedIn’s new product brings all your contacts from your LinkedIn profile, address books, email accounts, and calendars together. Other sources include CardMunch, LinkedIn’s standalone business scanning app, Evernote, TripIt, Outlook, Yahoo and Gmail

From these sources,  LinkedIn Contacts automatically pulls in the details of your past conversations and meetings, and bring these details directly onto your contact’s profile.

Once you sync your contacts from all the sources you select, everything is stored on LinkedIn. Your contacts are then shown on a single dashboard. The app offers a powerful filter to manage your growing list of contacts. LinkedIn Contacts also shows you  a lists of the important interactions with each of your contacts. You can set reminders and add notes about the important people in your life.

The opportunities for exploring this app are endless for business professionals who need to stay in touch with their contacts on daily basis. Entrepreneurs, marketers, sales professionals etc can track potential prospects for partnerships and customer acquisition with this new app.

LinkedIn will start sending invitations to try LinkedIn Contacts to a limited number of members in the United States over the coming weeks, but you can be added to the waiting list from the LinkedIn Contact page.
