Can You Really Make Money With Affiliate Marketing?

The short answer would be definitely “Yes”, but this exciting topic definitely deserves more attention. Online casinos, bingo rooms, and bookmakers among other online operators are competing for players in an increasingly cutthroat environment. The slice of the pie is apparently large enough for everyone, but the number of new players doesn’t grow at the same pace as the casinos’ expectations. Affiliates are instrumental in bringing in new players and the most successful ones are lavishly rewarded by casinos.

How does affiliate marketing work?

The simplicity of the affiliate marketing business is what makes it so appealing. Affiliates are people who promote a brand using all the channels of communication available and try to bring in new players. They attempt to get the message across as quickly as possible to as many potential gamers and convince them to tag along. The gambling operators provide the mobile casino sites with useful tools aimed at helping them with their affiliate marketing campaigns, so even beginners don’t start from scratch.

The profits made by affiliates are indissolubly linked to the number of players they bring and their activity online. That’s why new affiliates have to settle for low initial profits, which sometimes seem to fail to justify the effort. The good news is that perseverance is rewarded and the profits generally follow an upwards trajectory if the affiliates persevere. Hard work is to be expected and many new affiliates give up well before they actually get to make money from these programs.

Affiliate marketing has a two-pronged effect, as it is aimed at both the quantity and quality of players. Everyone is hoping for big spenders, which are commonly referred to “whales” in this line of work. These are people who spend a lot of money online and affiliates make a percentage of the money lost by such highrollers. Those who master the art of affiliate marketing and can successfully target these players are the ones who make the biggest profits.

Corporate affiliates dominate the industry

A distinction needs to be made between private and corporate affiliates. The former are regular people who try to navigate the waters of affiliate marketing, but they are generally on their own. Their road from rags to riches is generally long and twisted, with profits increasing in time. They don’t have the resources available to corporate affiliates who are the big winners in this highly competitive market.

Even the most successful private affiliates don’t make in excess of €100,000 per month, whereas corporate ones make millions. This is easy to explain given the fact that corporate affiliates employ large teams who work 24/7 to make their marketing campaigns as effective as possible. These people are hired to do this job, so they can channel all their energy and resources in this direction. Some of the most successful private affiliate marketing specialists have expanded into corporate to maximize their profits.
