5 Remarkable Ways to Show Your Navy Pride

There’s no need to wait for Navy Day or Veteran’s Day to show your Navy pride.

In fact, there are plenty of ways to show your support for the United States Navy all year long. And it needn’t even be anything ostentatious or showy—something as low-key as helping out a veteran’s family is all it takes.

Serving in the Navy certainly is something to be proud of. It means you’re part of a select group of men and women who have served in the world’s finest naval fleet.

So let’s look at a few ways you can show your pride and give a little something back to the Navy community.

1. Share a Story

This has nothing to do with boasting or braggadocio. Instead, it’s all about keeping memories alive and hopefully inspiring the next generation to follow in your footsteps.

Whether you or a relative have served in the armed forces, there’s nothing wrong in speaking about this service and communicating the interesting tales that veterans have to tell.

Civilians are sometimes a little reluctant to ask about the service experiences of military members. But these are the kinds of stories that inspire the younger generations to follow in your footsteps—and that’s a priceless gift to give back.

2. Deck Yourself in Military Bling

Why not?

It turns out there are plenty of decorative accessories to show your Navy pride, like lapel pins and other ornamental metal pins. These are showy and attractive pieces, with enamel inlays and colorful patterns.

Nothing shows your support of our brave military members like a good armed forces lapel pin.

3. Support a Veteran’s Family

Very few service members carry their awful burden alone.

There’s a family attached to that soldier—parents, spouses, siblings, and even children. And this family circle has to endure the hardships of service just as much as any member of the US Navy.

So a good way to show your Navy pride is to give back. Help the families of service members through special events, fundraisers, or any of a hundred other ways you can think of.

4. Help the Community

And that brings us to our next item.

You’d be hard pressed to find a community that doesn’t have an organization dedicated to assisting veterans. These outfits help with everything from career transitions, to housing, to mental health therapy.

So if you’re really looking to show your Navy pride, consider volunteering for one of these organizations.

5. Visit a VA Hospital

Finally, another fine way to give back and show your pride is to look into volunteering at your nearest VA hospital.

Check with the hospital first, and see what policies they’ve established for volunteer work. Many times there are special events on certain holidays which you can help organize or prepare.

Show Your Navy Pride Today

These are just a few of the many ways you can start showing your Navy pride. Remember, the most important thing is to give back to the community and help in any way you can.
