Amazon Web Services (AWS) has launched its fourth annual startup-challenge, a contest that is open to startups that are using the Amazon platform in innovative ways. 5 regional semi-finalists from each of the 3 regions willbe recognised,out of which 6 finalists will be selected and one global grand prize winner will emerge.
The AWS Start-up Challenge is an annual competition designed for young, promising start-ups to get noticed and compete for a chance to win $100,000 in cash and credits. Start-ups that are using the AWS cloud computing platform can submit an application which describes their business plan and their use of AWS.
Regional semi-finalists will receive $2,500 in AWS service credits. Global finalists will receive $10,000 in AWS service credits and a trip to Palo Alto, CA., USA for the final judging and awards ceremony. All qualified contestants will receive $25 in AWS service credits.
