RIM has announced BBM Music-The $4.99-a-month service that will give you access to stream (and locally store) a maximum of 50 songs, initially. In order to enforce that 50-song limitation, RIM will prevent users from changing more than 25 of their chosen songs per month.
BBM™ Music lets you discover the tunes your friends are listening to—and lets them enjoy your songs, too.
- Create your 50-song music profile: Build your BBM Music profile with 50 of your favorite songs. Choose from a huge catalog of licensed music and refresh your profile by swapping out up to 25 songs per month.
- More friends. More music: Invite BBM friends to become BBM Music friends. Listen to songs in your friends’ 50-song profiles and make them your own.
- Share or build playlists, albums or individual songs: Combine songs from your own and your friends’ profiles to build playlists. Send songs or playlists to friends or they can see what you’re listening to and choose to listen anytime.
