Zoho, the company that offers a suite of online web applications geared towards increasing your productivity today launched Zoho Pulse, a private social network for business collaboration.
Zoho Pulse allows your company to establish it’s own private, social network to encourage communication and collaboration among the entire organization as well as select departments and users. Existing Zoho users will find Zoho Pulse useful since the new social network for businesses tightly integrates with a broad set of Zoho applications. Employees can stay on top of what’s going on within the organization through Zoho Pulse iPhone and Android apps.
Zoho Pulse offers three types of tools for company-wide collaboration: a company wall where employees can collaborate on various topics, a discussion forum and a blog — all enabling collaboration throughout the company. Zoho Pulse brings together various group collaboration tools like discussion forums and document sharing along with custom apps — all within the context of a group.
At the user level, users can view other users’ profiles, activity and contact information as well as send private messages and have an option to follow fellow users to be informed about any activity.
