With the goal to inspire young people to embrace innovation, imagination and creativity, Global Entrepreneurship Week will encourage youth to think big and turn their ideas into reality. Startup Open, sponsored by DYMO/Labeling Identification Solutions, is a brand new competition from the Kauffman Foundation for startups created during Global Entrepreneurship Week, November 15-21, 2010.
The GEW 50–the 50 most promising startups launched during the Week–will be announced and one entrepreneur will receive a free trip to Richard Branson’ s private island to network with experienced entrepreneurs.
Founders expecting to have a startup moment during Global Entrepreneurship Week may enter from October 1 to November 1, 2010. Winners will be selected based on their answers to the questions on the online application form.
