Google made a lot of acquisitions in 2010. Google is still on an acquisition spree this year. BusinessInsider reports that Google intends to acquire 50 startups this year. I believe Google will acquire more than that this year. Given that Google wants to acquire 50 startups, there are 33 more to go. In the past 7 months, the following startups have been acquired by Google.

  1. eBook Technologies was acquired on January 13, 2011 for Google Books integration
  2. SayNow , a voice recognition startup was acquired for Google Voice integration on January 25, 2011.
  3. fflick, a social network service  was acquired on January 26, 2011 for Youtube integration.
  4. Zynamics  a security app was bought on March 1, 2011.
  5., a price comparison service was acquired for £37,700,000 for Google Advisor integration on March 7, 2011.
  6. Next New Networks, an online video service was acquired on March 7, 2011 for YouTube integration.
  7. Green Parrot Pictures, an Irish  digital video service was acquired on March 16, 2011 for YouTube integration
  8. PushLife, a Canadian service provider was acquired on April 8, 2011 for $25,000,000
  9. TalkBin, a mobile service provider was on April 26, 2011 for Android purposes.
  10. Sparkbuy, a price comparison service was bought on  May 23, 2011 for Google Product Search integration.
  11. PostRank, a Canadian social media analytics service was acquired on June 3, 2011.
  12. Admeld, an online advertising service was acquired for $400,000,000 on June 9, 2011 for DoubleClick, Invite Media integration.
  13. SageTV, a media center company was acquired on June 18, 2011 for Google TV integration
  14. Punchd, a loyalty program company was bought on July 8, 2011 for Google Wallet integration
  15. Fridge, a social groups service was acquired on July 21, 2011 for Google+ integration
  16. PittPatt, a facial recognition system was bought on July 23, 2011
  17. TheDealMap, a local deals service was acquired on August 1st 2011 for Google offers.
