Adobe has launched the beta of Muse, a brand-new application that allows graphic designers to design and publish professional-level HTML websites without writing code or working within restrictive templates.
Adobe says Muse combines precise design and creative freedom with innovative frameworks for adding navigation, widgets and HTML to include advanced interactivity on a site. Focus on design rather than technology. Combine imagery, graphics, and text with precision and control, just as you would expect from Adobe® design tools.
Muse provides drag and drop customisable widgets like navigation menus. Users can also add customisable interactive elements including slideshows, tooltips and remote rollovers. Muse can embed HTML code snippets from sources including Google Maps, YouTube and Facebook.
Create layouts intuitively with smart guides, paste in place, edit original, the eyedropper, columns, gutters, and more. Muse page layouts will automatically resize in height, growing as much as you need to accommodate the length of content on each page.Muse automatically optimizes PSD and PNG files when you publish.
Edit images with Photoshop® or Fireworks® using Edit Original, edits will be automatically reflected in your layout. Preview your design in Muse, or in a browser to check how the site is shaping up.
