Smartphones are most productive when they are packed with the best and great apps. Your iPhone (4, 4s or the new 5) can be the best mobile technology in your palm if you pack it with the right apps. Not every good app is free and some great apps will cost you money, but when you come across  great free apps, take it. The iPhone apps on this list have consistently shown outstanding performance this year. These app have recorded thousands of downloads if not millions and you can try them out and let us know your comments.

Adobe Photoshop Express   for iPhone brings photo shooting and editing basics, like cropping and exposure adjustment to your iPhone, while also letting you get creative with photos, with a lot of impressive effects. Choose from a variety of one-touch effects, or simply drag your finger across the screen to crop, rotate, or adjust color. Add artistic filters like Soft Focus or Sketch.

Articles. Just enter a search term and let Articles find the Wikipedia entry you are looking for. Use the integrated maps feature to learn about interesting places and historic events around your current location, or anywhere else in the world.

With a  slick  interface, RadioPlayer  the internet radio app has  access to about 300 UK  radio stations. All the BBC services, and hundreds of commercial stations. Radioplayer  is a not-for-profit company, aimed at making radio listening easier and it’s  backed by the BBC.

Stay. Discover exciting places to visit in over 120 cities, and create social travel guides with your friends! Avoid roaming charges with offline maps. Entire city available offline : Download the entire city to your mobile, and discover new places even without an Internet connection.

Facebook Camera. Another Facebook spin-off. This  app lets you crop, add filters and tag friends, then upload entire albums at once.
