Google has made product launches and updates today. The following products and updates were announced on the Google official blog.

Google+ numbers today!

Today, on Google+ more than 500 million people have upgraded, 235 million are active across Google (+1’ing apps in Google Play, hanging out in Gmail, connecting with friends in Search…), and 135 million are active in just the stream.

Google+ Communities

Goole has  announced a  new set of features called “Communities”, which allow you  to set up a place that’s not your own profile and not a business “Page” to have discussions on any number of topics. With Google+ Communities , you can create public or private membership to support all kinds of groups—from topics and interests to local neighborhoods to regular poker nights.

Snapseed’s photo editor app for Android

Snapseed app (last year’s iPad app of the year) is now available to Android users. Snapseed, allows you to do pretty advanced things to photos with simple gestures.  Significant features include basic adjustments like tune, straighten and crop, creative filters like drama, black & white, and vintage that you can apply individually or in combination.

Snapseed can be downloaded from Google Play and the App Store, and starting today, both versions are free.

Search app for Android

Google has updated its Search app for Android with functionality like  Apple’s Passbook ( iOS 6 app  that pulls your boarding passes and store cards into one convenient place). Google’s update is part of the Google Now service that automatically brings up “cards” with relevant information from around you, based on your location.
