The advent of the smartwatch offers a new way to do more with a wristwatch. With new hardware and software options that continue to get better and better, there’s no time like the present to buy a smartwatch. Smartwatches are still a very new thing to a lot of people.
What? Watch is rethinking traditional timekeeping. The company wants to bring words of inspiration into your daily live and change the way you look at time. The device follows from the company’s massively successful Calendar Watch.
“After running two successful Kickstarter campaigns, we couldn’t be in a better position or have a better product to launch our next campaign. We love this project, and are hoping that potential backers will also love it,” says What? Watch CEO Igor Basargin.
Quotes Watch aims to bring inspiration into your daily life, help you express yourself and connect with others on a more intimate level.
The default screen is a combination of quote and time. But if you’ve had enough inspiration for the day, swiping left and right will show time only or text only. Available in five different colours, the Quotes Watch will launch in the fall.
Here is what the Quotes Watch can do
Select quote categories: You can select your favorite quote categories from the quotes database connected to the app.
Choose rotation: You decide how often a quote on the watchface should be replaced. Whether it’s every 10 minutes or only once a day, it’s totally up to you.
Write your own: You can select to write your own quotes on the watch in addition to or instead of displaying the quotes from the database.
Receive personal messages: Selected loved ones can send you messages directly to your watch through the Quotes app.
Display Tweets: No matter if you would like to get the quote of the day from your favorite quotes Twitter channel or if you would just like to keep up with what your friends are tweeting about. Quotes Watch displays it all directly on the watchface in real time.
Select fonts: Your text can be shown in any of the 15 appealing font-choices in the app.
Choose style filters: In case you would like to shake things up even more, we are offering a number of themed style filters to make your quotes appear even more interesting.
Like or skip: With a simple swiping motion, you can like the quotes on the watchface (swipe up) or skip the displayed quote (swipe down).
Choose your screen: In addition to swiping up and down you can also swipe left and right to show time only or text only. The default screen is a combination of quote and time.
