As you slowly build up your client base, you’ll need to rely on things like word of mouth, testimonials and social media to boost brand recognition. You can also try out some state-of-the-art tools to help you social proof and improve your marketing strategy. Customers may also be enticed by engaging content or a free gift. There are several ways you can encourage positive customer feedback.

Social media engagement

An online presence and strong social engagement are important in order to create trust. You should see your followers on social media as ambassadors for your brand in a way, as they can further promote your business by resharing your posts and referring friends. It’s important to engage with people on social media, both clients and fellow businesses. At this stage in your startup, networking is vital. Think of ways you can engage customers on social media, perhaps with a referral scheme.

Last but not least, you need to focus on optimizing the customer experience. Customers are more satisfied if they’re able to find the product or service they need easily. The shopping experience is often more important than the price of the product overall. If you optimize your website for a better customer experience, you’re more likely to create trust and receive positive feedback. Customers will then in turn recommend your business to others.
