MedHelp, the world’s largest health social network, has partnered with GE to create a new mobile app, My Diet Diary – Calorie Counter, that helps users closely monitor their calorie balance by tracking their food, exercise and more so that they can reach their weight loss goals.
My Diet Diary tracks four things essential to weight loss including:
Food tracker – record what you eat throughout the day and automatically calculates the total number of calories you consume;
Exercise tracker – record your workouts to calculate the total number of calories burned;
Weight tracker – shows how your actual weight is trending against your goal weight so that you can see if you’re on track to meet your goal;
Water tracker – keeps tabs on how much water you have consumed throughout the day — an important element of weight loss.
You can also:
Track your weight, water consumption and calories in (food) and calories out (exercise)
Calculate calories burned using basal metabolic rate (BMR) and your exercise activity
Calculate your calories consumed using a database of 50,000 foods — or enter your own custom foods
Set weight loss goals to maintain or lose weight
Get future predictions of your weight based on your actual data
With My Diet Diary – Calorie Counter, users can see at any given time whether they are on track to lose weight, gain weight or stay the same weight, so that they can adjust their behavior accordingly to reach their weight goals.
